I am testing out a new blog editor which, on the surface, may make it to the top of my most popular utilities.

Windows Live Writer (sorry Mac users) appears to allow you more control over the appearance of your blog.  It already handles images way better than my current blog editor.

DSCF0786Here is a picture of one of the new school buildings in Cheppema.  It is very easy to format placement of the picture so the text flows where you want.  There are even some photo editing goodies that you edit your photos with like black and white, sepia and other basic editing tools.  You can even put a watermark on the photo like I did on the right.

I am not saying that I am done testing this but I am going to give it a workout.  I see a lot of potential use for this in the area of offline post creation.  This will come in handy in Kenya later this year as we document our trip.

And, just for good measure, here’s a picture aligned left.  Only 1 click to get it aligned with a drop shadow.  Not too shabby.  I even added the photo paper border for good measure at the same time.

So far so good.  Now to post it to see what happens upon the transfer.  By the way I am using this to create a post on the WordPress blog site.
