Free and Legal Music Downloads?

Tonight at midnight, Qtrax.com is offering a beta program to download free and legal music on your computer.  Windows users can begin using the service tonight while Mac users will have to wait for their beta in March.  In case you are wondering it is advertiser driven but they claim to have access to over 25 million downloads.

January 28th update – it appears that this is a false start as the download is not yet available on the qtrax site.  Other news sources are saying that the deals with the publishing companies may have not been completed which would explain why you can’t download the software.
