Dad/Daughter Date Night

In addition to trying to date my wife on a regular basis, Sammi and I try to go out on daddy and daughter date nights.  Lately we have been going to Hurricanes hockey games about 1 time per month.  She has turned into such a big fan and has a huge “thing” for Mike Commodore (who was traded to another team on February 11).  She is not happy.

Last night we had 1 extra ticket that was intended for Stephen but since he had to work, I let her pick a friend who would like to go with us.  She chose her friend Sarah who had never been to a hockey game before.  Needless to say this turned into more of a girls night out (with dad left by himself) and less of a dad/daughter night out.

At least I got to spend a couple of uninterrupted hours with one of my favorite girls.
