Old Hot Water Heaters

So we live in an older house and I expect to be repairing and replacing a lot of the contents within the next couple of years.  Just not on a 22 degree day.  Just not a water heater located in a crawl space under my house.  Just not today when my truck is in the shop.

I feel inconvenienced that I can’t take a hot shower this morning (nor could I yesterday when I woke up to no hot water).  Yes I did take a shower – just not the way I like it. 

It’s very easy to take this stuff for granted.  We turn a faucet on and expect water.  Turn the one on the left and expect nice, warm water.  That’s what comes from 45+ years of experience.  I am spoiled rotten.

The good news is that the plumber is coming over today and I will probably have to set my sights on a warm shower later in the day.  The bad news is that there goes the digital camera I have been saving for.
